I come from the Beautiful Tangaroa
I come from the loving of tane mahuta
I come from the loving of mother earth
My iwi have sung songs with the gifted words of god
My tupuna fought wars on high mountains
My tupuna took fire from the hands of love
My tupuna appear in my dreams
Who am i to have my tured on them?
Who am i to think they were blind
I am a green stone of my ancestors
When i stand back i hope i made them proud
Their warm hands wraps love around me
